It does look like possible salt corrosion, that's why I inquired about driving conditions in an earlier post.

I know when we had know here, they salted the roads. When the snow was gone I took the Raptor to a car wash with an undercarriage spray...which I do quite frequently anyway.

Nonetheless, I would like to here what the dealership says about it...they certainly should not corrode that fast.

I'm guessing Ford will approve it but they may issue one of their notices that they won't in the future as salt corrosion is out of their jurisdiction.

Owners will need to start waxing their shocks :D

Hey fella's
So I went to my local ford dealer and they took a bunch of pictures and sent them to ford.

I did the same thing, They took a couple pictures.... they weren't interested in my pictures though... said they had to take their own pictures. then just reached back there with a little camera and took a few shots.

Owners will need to start waxing their shocks

Sounds a little pornographic.... Wonder what Freud woud have thought

Well guys I went and talk to the service manager from my local ford dealer and he told me that ford has denied the warranty claim.. He told me that there must be a hole in the shock body and the shock would have to leak for it to be covered... Went from the dealer out to my truck got in and called Fords customer service told them that I was less then impressed.... I mean really this isn't a $20000 ford ranger I'm driving it's a raptor for crying out loud. The main selling feature of the truck is that there is FOX shocks.. They gave me no satisfaction at all. Gave me the same answer as the service manager. Needless to say I'm extreme unimpressed!!! Sorry guys had to vent.
