Love my mid perch. Bottom was way too soft and low. I would do top but afraid of it being too stiff and early wear on front end parts...

My Ford dealer recommended going to the Top Perch before it left the lot. I was wanting the middle, but they talked me into the top. No warranty issues with my dealer on the perch setting.

I have owned Ford SUPERDUTY Powerstroke diesels for about the last 10-years and wanted to give the gas a try again because it seems that Ford will deny a warranty on a diesel for not having “Motorcraft” air in your tires and now I’m hearing about warranty claims being denied for adjusting the front coil-overs to one of the other two provided settings???????????????????

I'm heading to the top perch!

I moved mine to the mid perch and then took it in for the free alignment that is part of your warranty. You get a free one within a year or 12,000 miles. They had no idea anything was done. Most dealers are idiots and they'd have to tear it apart to check, anyway.

Swoop where did you find the documents stating the free alighnment to be performed by ford? Send us all a pic of that!
Also who has had cv boot issues by going to top perch? Curious

Its part of the base warranty. Your alignment is covered for 12months or 12k miles. Mine was in about 11k to adjust the tow as it was feathering the front tires.

Ford needs to "prove" the modification has caused premature wear and tear or the actual failure before the warranty claim can be denied. Yes the "perch" setting is considered a "adjustment" to everyone here however ford considered it a "modification" as it did not leave the assembly plant that way.

I will be adjusting mine when I get the chance....

So that mean I voided my warranty when I adjusted the seat to drive home?

Yes, but it's considered a modification because it did not leave the factory that way. Just so we're clear...

People stop spreading these lies. Ford can deny warranty and claim that any modification caused it. THEY ONLY HAVE TO PROVE IT IF YOU TAKE THEM TO COURT

I knew going in that Ford may deny my warranty claim and blame it on any of the mods I do. If they do, I fix it and move on. I'm not about to get into a battle with Ford over that. If you are worried don't get any mods. I would rather install aftermarket parts for something that breaks rather than replace with the same OEM part. I'm thinking my CV's will go soon and I will have to have RPG come up with something new for me ;)
