I know, I was just telling u my closest experience to the question you asked.

Raptor is not about paved road speed its about off road speed. I am sure the raptor will make you happy but just in a different way

Cool. I really appreciated all the perspectives guys, and with minimal hazing I'm surprised! :) I just really need to drive a 6.2, I would get a scab though, dealers only have screws around here. I won't order unless I can drive it first.

Sounds like you need to make your way to the dealership. I had a 400hp blown X-Runner and I don't miss it at all. That truck only weighed 3600.

I think the Raptor is fairly quick for a vehicle which weighs three tons. I'd assume the fastest pickup produced by Ford would be the Tremor. It is a regular cab with the 3.5 liter turbocharged V6 and a 4.10 differential gear ratio.

Gee, that not to far to go for a Raptor, lol. After you get one you get to drive to TRR! And it will be worth every mile.

Don't buy a Raptor. Let someone else who knows what the truck is and can do buy it.

The Raptor eats dirt like a starving Great White Shark and it rides on the pavement better than any truck around. Will it out handle, out corner a street truck? No, it won't. It's got a higher center of gravity and weighs more than a standard crap err cab.

You're happy with a standard cab Dodge. Nothing else will make you as happy as that incredible pickup truck.

THis is my 2 cents.

I lOVE my raptor I use it on the beaches here all summer long, and in the snow it is unstoppable. I don't even bother racing on the street. I traded in a 2008 SRT8 charger for my truck, and i haven't missed it for a day.

My best friend purchased one a month after I got mine. He is a street guy and has never touched dirt. He drove his raptor until yesterday when he traded it in.

If you plan on using it offroad BUY IT and don't look back, If its going to be a street queen you may get bored.
