GEN 2 Failure to restart.

This is the second time that its happened.

Take my foot off the brake and the engine doesn't restart. No check engine light, nothing other than the box onbthe screen saying 'press brake to start. But of course I have to put it in park. Then press start and off I go . . .

Then, until I shut down, auto stop/start says 'not available'.

And no, I'm not interested in disabling the system. I'm just looking for any reasons this may have happened, or someone who had the same problem.

How old is your battery? it could be detecting your battery is on its way out . But that usually keeps truck from shutting off . hard to say . Mine has been disabled since the day i left the dealership.

Have the battery tested, most auto parts stores will do it for free.
