Airaid says theirs gives 12more hp vs complete stock and k&n claim 20hp. Dont expect any true or noticable gains with just a CAI, to maximize and really notice the gain you need to get a tuner also.

It would be really hard to notice the small changes between any of the brands. Doubt anyone would really want to waste the gas to do this. I use the Hennessey CAI and the 5 Star Tune along with the Magnafow Magnapack.

AIRAID proudly provides dyno charts. If asked, they will send you a dyno chart that also includes the air/fuel ratio graph. That's what convinced me. The air/fuel figures for the AIRAID are closer to the stoichiometric ideal than the factory intake.

Agreed with AlbertaRaptor. These trucks already have CAI's. You are simply replacing the cover and adding a filter with better flow characteristics. Those better flow characteristics come with the possibility of less filtration. Most of the CAI's for this truck create nice sound, though.

I would not expect a single HP from CAI. If you buy one, it should be for looks or for increased sound.

Also, if you plan to off road your truck, make sure you get a CAI with a sealed lid. Between the grill and hood vents, your filter will be dirty and wet.

Smooth air flow is good. Turbulent air is bad for hp.
