so if don't have it ( THE RATTLE) ,will the update totally eliminate the wear of the pin ,so in theory it should never develop the rattle . other than high millage normal wear and tear .

Got the cam phasers replaced on my 2018 SCREW with the updated parts a few months ago, and the rattle has not reappeared. Dealer had my truck for a week, but worth it for peace of mind.
Got the PCM update a couple weeks later when my truck felt like it went into limp mode and wouldn’t shift into higher gears. This also took the dealer about a week to figure out, but is all good now and shifts better than it did the day I bought it. Hopefully all the bugs are figured out now, I love driving this awesome truck!

I didn't have any previous cam phaser noise and had 21B10 update on my 2019.

All good no shudder so far.

Mine rattles after only an hour of sitting. I’m out of warranty as I’m sitting at 104k. I remote start it out of ear shot cause it makes me cringe when I hear it sometimes.

The wife took it in as I’m working she said it took them,20 min to update , and no test drive at all sound right ?
