I curruntely have 1.5 RPG front collars, and .75 Foutz rear spacers that will be replaced with front and rear Eibach Springs. It appears the "stock" collars were removed when installing the 1.5 RPG's and either tossed or not transferred to me once completed. I do not have them. Im hearing that Ford likely does not sell this part and my option is to purchase new front shocks to get my hands on that stock perch collar. Im getting conflicting stories from Ford and my mechanic.

Does all this sound correct? Are the stock perch collars removable from the shock? Is buying new shocks my only option? Somebody else told me I might need these clips (photo below) that were also removed. True?

Any feedback appreciated.

I believe all you need are the factory snap rings (probably what you have pictured). There aren't collars that are removed when installing the RPG collars.

These rings are the only thing that get removed from the shock body when you install perch collars. Plenty of people on here have collars, might get lucky and find someone willing to sell them!

When removing the RPG collars, the spring mount has to get moved up to let the lift collars pop out, there’s a grove that these rings sit in, then the mount gets lowered over them.

Picture is from a Gen2, but it works the same way.

Hey JakerJaker19, did you do this swap to the Eibach springs yet? I'm contemplating the 1.5" collars or springs - wondering which setup you prefer? I assume your running 37's...

I just switched from a 1.5 collar to Eibach springs last week on my 37, I am way happier with the springs so far, less body roll, less nose dive and feels more planted around corners. I bought the spring perch retention clips from Foutz f(FMI)'s website for 20 dollars. They showed up 2 days later and worked perfectly. Just make sure you order 2 sets, 4 half clips in total.
