Maybe this thread will help?

Holy that sounds all too familiar! I'm going to have to look into this since I have an AFE CAI as well, may just end up replacing it.

How difficult is it to remove that panel on the passangers side next to the navigation? The one with the vent. I need to replace mine.
You have to pull the center console (easier than it sounds).

-Directly under navigation bezel is a small trim piece that pulls right out.

-kick plate on passenger and driver side covers a bolt (8mm)

-then move seats forward, bolt either side of console in rear (8mm)

- put truck in neutral and lift up trim around gear shift. 3 wire clips underneath

-2 wire clips on passenger side behind kickplate you removed earlier (have to do these after shifter bezel otherwise you can't shift).

-There will be 2 more bolts at front top of center console after removing shifter bezel. (8mm)

-Slide center console back, bolt at bottom of trim next to nav. (7mm I believe)

-Disconnect battery and drop glove box, wait 30 minutes

-3 bolts (believe 8mm) holding airbag in directly above glovebox

-pull passenger airbag cover, copper screw holding in trim in top left (believe 7mm)

Now you can pull out the piece you're talking about.

(Edited because I accidentally read driver side first)

Yeah haha, finding a place to get it done here is the challenge, for some reason vicksburg and Jackson have nothing.

Nevermind, I'm a little slow, just ordered the repair kit
I did mine awhile back and it was pretty easy. If you can do your dash, you can do this!
