from the article:
" we measured a best zero-to-60 mph time of 7.61 seconds"
"In the quarter-mile, we hit 89.04 mph in 15.86 seconds."
I ran my old 2010 6.2L at the strip and did a 15.3 @ 89mph. My screw is faster than that.
I refuse to believe that I am the only person on the entire forum that uses the 411HP on the road!?!? Not a damn one of you plays with other drivers with the attention we get!?!? Even if it it just barely edging out the Ram next to you as you leave the stop light (i.e. not flooring it but keeping barely in front of him)
Yeah, I drive like that if there is a lane that is cutting off and I'm at a light next to something and I know they're going to drive slow because they were driving slow before I caught them, then yes.

...or timing your entrance to the freeway to not end up behind granny and her buick.
That has nothing to do with the truck. That's just smart driving. It's called proper merging, not getting to the end of the ramp and hitting the brakes because you don't know what the **** you're doing. :)flipthebird: That's for you, Maryland, Virginia and DC)

I am pretty sure it says 'SVT' before it says 'Raptor'? Not 'Raptor by SVT'
I don't know why you said this. Point?

I will leave with a Jason Aldean song quote; "There's still black marks on that county road, where we drag raced our pick-ups and mustangs, And weathered all the sun and rain"
Good song, but pretty sure he was reminiscing things he did as a teenager.

I barely race as it is (gas is expensive) but when I do, I would definately do it sober! No need to further endager others and I need my skills at peak performance.
This made me LOL. So you acknowledge street racing endangers others? I guess its just fortunate no one has been killed yet thanks to those mad skilz. And good call not racing while drunk... can't have those life saving talents of yours dulled.

All for what, exactly? To prove you're an inch shorter and can get there a stroke earlier than the other guy? :supergay:

I never asked what your point was. I was simply sharing my time with others to know.

Sounds like you were at a track? If so, they probably used a sportsman or full tree for ya (unless you told them to set it to pro), which also probably means your time started when you broke the beam, not when the light dropped.

In other words, unless you told the track staff different, your reaction time doesn't figure into your ET. Hope that helps.

PS: Got your slip still? Mind posting up the breakdown? Might be fun to see the 5.4s 60' time.

Here ya go. I'm on the left. Manning. This is my slowest 60' though. Best was 2.25

I used to race Eagle Talons back in the day (my teenage years) and have never been smart enough to come up with a different online alias.

I do appreciate your pun though.

:peace:

My buddy had a Talon back in the day, that car kicked ASS ! We used to hammer that thing around in the winter like a rally car.
