Did the Corsa improve anything?

I am not just saying this because I have the Corsa Xtreme system on my truck, but it honestly sounds pretty close to a nice V8 rumble. It is definitely on the loud side and you will hear a constant noise about 75MPH, but the overall sound is fairly deep and strong. Listen to the link below and let me know what you think (this is not my truck). You will have to ignore some of the microphone feedback, but it gives you a good feel for what my truck sounds like in person.

That is not even close to a V8 sound... very high pitch. The factory system does a great job of getting the tone as low/deep as it possibly can.

For kicks .... I have copied a link below so you can hear the sound of a stock 2018 Mustang GT. There will obviously be a difference between it and my Raptor with the Corsa Xtreme, but the Raptor seems to be in the same ballpark to me.

The only engines you hear up close are the engine form the school bus and your mom's station wagon. stop pretending to be an adult.

I think if you get a better video like this, you will hear the difference.

Cool video. Not sure what you are trying to point out. Did that Mustang sound different than my truck ..... definitely. Does that Mustang sound different than a lot of other V8s out there ....... definitely. My point with the videos that I shared is that there are exhaust systems out there that can make the Raptor sound like a V8. I drive my truck everyday; I own a Corvette; I use to own a Mustang GT. I think the Raptor sounds fine stock, albeit not like a V8. With a very easy exhaust install, you can get it sounding pretty close to a V8 with a deep and throaty rumble.

Stock is definitely the best option. Changing to aftermarket pipes/mufflers that are made for all cars is not going to work out well for the ecoboost. It needs its own tuned exhaust to cancel the raw high pitch that the v6 makes. The aftermarket “universal” are just undoing that.

What you describe above is what some of the major aftermarket exhaust companies are trying to do. I know you are not satisfied with the results, but I am here to say that the Corsa Xtreme system does a nice job as long as you don't mind an exhaust system that has a nice gurgle under normal driving conditions, makes a fair amount of noise under moderate to heavy acceleration, and has a constant audible tone at speeds of 75MPH and higher. Not perfect, but a really close attempt. Peace out.

To me, if it’s not a V8, leave the exhaust alone. OEMs know how to make the 6 cylinder sound as good as its going to get. Aftermarket just makes it worse.
What is sad is that a Mitsubishi Evo sounds better than the raptor ecoboost. They have exhaust specifically designed for them, so that’s probably why they sound ok.
