Anyone Cross Shop a Super Duty & Raptor???

Thanks. That is what makes the decision so hard for me.
I'll only use the towing feature (at max) once per month on average.

Love the Raptor for everything else... so my last ditch effort is to find ways to compensate for towing (<= 5% of total use)

or

rent an F-350 once in a while (depending on load/weight)!

Put air bags on it and the Raptor will be just fine. Have 2 Veloiraptors with air bags and they work great.

Like has been posted earlier comparing the 2 regarding towing is apples and oranges. The SD is built for it. I have both, an F-350 SD and Raptor. No comparison. But daily driving the Raptor is a kick.

That white F250 does have the aux cab heater, so that's a plus. Worst case the dealer could retrofit the operator commanded regen to it if you went that route.

It also has the payload downgrade package listed and is "only" an F250- it's going to tow better than your Raptor, but it won't be as stable as the F350 you rented, both due to the springs and being a shorter wheelbase truck. But, still better than what you have.

A few people have installed airbags, including one guy who tows a large airstream. Maybe go that route instead of deavers?

Are there any airbag kits specifically for the Raptor? I would have thought someone would utilize the kits that have the cup bases on the springs instead of attached on top & bottom.

I've looked but haven't seen anything Raptor specific.

The salesman is gonna get me some info on exactly what the 'payload downgrade' means and if operator commanded Regen is an option to add on.

I'll also do some research into air bags. The Deavers and bump package is around $3k.

Yes. Airlift does. That is what we installed. The picture above. They work great.

I remember reading somewhere about F150 Limited with the Raptor drivetrain available in 2019. Wonder if that could be spec out with towing option? just a thought

When I decided to get out of my 2011 F150 Limited 6.2 (loved it!) I was set on getting the new F250 with the diesel. I also tow a car hauler about 6 to 8 times a year however my trailer is an aluminum open style that's about 2000lbs lighter than yours. But other than that the truck was going to be my commuter vehicle that I'd put ~20K miles a year on.

I really didn't like the look of the front end of the new F250's but overall they seemed like an absolutely awesome truck. I wanted to make sure I could live with it long-term so I traded my good friend for his for a week. I drove it for about a week and several hundred miles, always unladen. At the end of that week I knew 100% there was no way I was buying that truck. The ride was a complete beat-down. If I was constantly towing then hands down I'd be all over it. For commuting it sucked.

Then I started considering the Raptor and even though I don't use it as it's intended, I loved the truck, especially the looks (I know, shallow). When I do tow it's 'pretty ok'. It hauls the trailer fine but requires accurate placement of the car on the trailer for optimal balancing.

Overall, the best thing I did was drive that F250 for a while so that I'm now not always wondering whether I should've gone that route instead.
