Tail Gate Broke...

Same same on my 2019. I was able to catch it before it swung. I used a skinny block of wood to shim the left side. This allowed me pop the right pin back in. Pain in the butt.....yes!
My remedy is to close it slowly with equal pressure on both sides. No one handed slings,lol. Good luck man.

Are you talking about the one side that's different so you can take the tailgate off? Kind of a rectangular shape instead of round? Over the years I've had mine come apart on that side if I closed it and something was jammed between the bed and tailgate.
