Well using adhesive to attach things to plastic is problematic.
Even WeatherTech has problems with the floor mats.

At least they back up there products and will correct it.
And the new close CAI system they completely solved it by riveting them on.
But I agree they should have at least put black silicone around it for a cleaner look.
Until the guy in the shop learns how to use a Dermal better. LOL
It can be bought as a partial upgrade for $380 for guys who want to switch.
It says Expedition but fits the Raptor as well.

The new design does not have holes in the tube at all. It’s riveted to a separate piece that is glued to the outside.

Well it has the holes it's just there filled with the rivets , the holes probably don't go all the way that thick piece of plastic.
I'm guessing there are trying to get the rivets out of the air flow in the tube.
And it looks more like it is inserted from the inside of the tube.
I'm sure they will do a better job of it in the future.

I would have the name or logo etched in and painted

How is the badge attached in the first place?
Are there nuts or clips holding it on? And if so you need to check the turbo for damage

adhesive (Strike that)

Just found out that they used a smooth push pin so that nothing protrudes into the tube, so nothing falls in they just fall out.
There have been some that have come loose and is being taking care of.
Whipple is replacing them at no cost and doesn't matter were you purchased it from.

No. Look at my picture. No holes in the tube on the new one.
