I can confirm that my dealer also relayed the same info. "Rep informed us that Ford did not pick up your order so it is being canceled. We will convert you to a 2023 order and keep your priority of the allocation" they will also be putting me at their highest order code so fingers crossed it actually happens this time through! They are NOT price protecting the 2022 rate, but my dealer made that very clear. They've been pretty much as in the dark with the whole order status as I have the past 6 months.
