Installed the Magnefine inline power steering filter.

I've put about 20 miles on it to test it out and doesn't seem to restrict the flow. Instructions call for the install to be on the return side before the reservoir.

As you can see from the pictures I removed the air box and clamped off the line to keep the fluid from draining out. Used a couple zip ties to hold it in place. It's a straight forward install after that...

Looking at the installation drawing the filter is meant to be installed in the return line.
Ford uses a remote reservoir and the filter needs to be installed in the line from the steering rack to the reservoir, not in the pump suction/supply line!
A dirty filter will starve the pump and lead to failure.

Pat is the only one I know of who might have installed one.

Mine has been working flawlessly.

The big line on the res is suction which is 3/4 and the small line is the return which I believe is 3/8. If you have the filter on the small line it's on the return side after the rack
