Is the light signal back to the side mirror functional?

I just have noticed that the signal light back to the side mirror does not work. Is the light signal back to the side mirror functional? Please see the picture below. THX!

There is a mod to turn it into a turn signal. If u search it u should find it. The thread was made a while ago.

There is also "deletes". U can get black plastic replacements or u can get vinyl from designs N signs and do this

My build up has the blinker info in it too so you can see how it looks, video included. Extremely easy mod and sets it off at night.
