I run the race series shocks on mine and its 100% a night and day ride over the OEM gen 3 shocks. You can add anywhere from 0-2” with them and the ride is quite a bit softer than the OEM shocks but you also get extra adjustability to change them a bit to your taste. You as well retain all live valve connections.

We do have them in stock here at Hammer Performance!
So these are a drop in replacement for the stock shocks?
Send some info to my inbox please.

How did the Gen 2 FRS upgrade compare to just the stock ride of the Gen 3? I have a Gen 3 w/37pp but am looking to add 1-1.5" but want to keep stock performance (or smoother would be a win) out of the shocks.

Better in every way. More compliant over small bumps and large bumps while maintaining on-road comfort and good features. More of a sporty feel vs the stock shocks and less body roll and nose dive during braking than stock.

We have them in stock and ready to ship here at Apollo Optics, happy to help get you dialed in with our forum savings along with free shipping.

Thanks for the reply - can you link the race series shocks for me? Sorry I’m new to the Raptor world and not exactly sure which you’re referencing.

We just put these shocks on our 2023 Raptor R project truck and I've been very happy with the results!

More info and pictures to come. In the meantime, if anyone is interested in a set, we've got promotional pricing going on them now here at Apollo!

Feel free to send me a DM for a quote, or you can also reach out to @Kyle@Apollo-Optics as well!

@Nick@Apollo-Optics is your R a '23 or a '24? My '24 just landed (waiting on transport to pick it up and bring to me), and I'm curious if the FRS are worth the upgrade over the '24 factorys shocks. I had FRS on my Gen 2 and they rode great. However, my '23 R rode pretty awesome on the street and I don't want to sacrifice the ride quality at all. I'm also debating just doing the fronts so I can get a little lift, and then keep factory rears so I don't have a shorter shock which would allow me to do a 1" lift out back. Thinking about running 39" BFG KM3, so that's potentially my end goal.

My R is a 2023. If you want to get up to big boy tires like 39" KM3s, you're going to need more than 1" of lift. If you're thinking of going FRS, that is 100% the best way to go because you can maintain the best ride while gaining the height that you're after. Sure, you can do a 2.5" spring, but the FRS adjusted to right height will ride better than the stock shocks with springs. Even with my FRLV shocks cranked up (11 threads showing on mine), I still find that it rides like stock, just without the nose dive during heavy braking and body roll during cornering.

I have quite a few customers who go with FRLV fronts and then we do springs or spacers in the rear with stock shocks because they don't want to lose the 1" travel out back. Happy to go over it all in more detail with you if you'd like.

Thanks for the response. Sounds like the FRLV fronts with stock rears is the way to go. You have any idea if the 39" KM3 will clear with roughly 2" front lift on a 9", +0 wheel? I assume I can get 2" out of the FRLV? Out back is there any reason to do a spring over a spacer if I'm not running a bed cage with dual spares? The rear will get a bedcover only, and will be used for luggage, etc.
