I have 1500 miles on the raptor and am in need of placing our boat (21' Malibu VLX) back at the lakehouse after winterization for storage. I have read contradicting theories of waiting for 1000 miles to 5000 miles to not waiting at all. What are y'all's thoughts? Thanks for the insight!

Go tow.

You have a warranty and as long as you're not towing a boat beyond the factory tow specs you'll be fine.

Of course the Raptor could tow a heavier boat but it's never a good idea to exceed the mfr's specs.

it's not only for engine but tranny so 1000 miles should be good. just don't use your cruse for towing yet imo.

I believe the manual states 500 or 1000 mi. Since you have over a 1000 mi i would say go for it.

2 Day after I picked up my 2012 I headed up north with this 24ft trailer and tractor.

Do you have any idea what the tongue weight was? Did you use a weight distribution hitch? At the risk of being kicked off this forum, I had a 99 Suburban 2500 454 that was an excellent truck. I'm waiting on my raptor and am concerned about how well it will pull and squat with a heavy tongue weight. Now I read about frame bending issue...
