Need some help understanding the HSWM codes.

The first line in the sheet matches what I have. But there is not description for this setting, anyone know what it does?
714-01-01 1000 0000 2D

For 714-02-01 I have the following
714-02-01: 0258 5858 28 which I think mean my steering wheel is FULL HOT.

But then there is this.
714-02-01: 0258 5858 xx - Wheel Temperature = 88ºF

If I want 88* do I replace the 28 in my code with XX?

I wouldn't want to assume anything.

@Livnitup may want to help you out here.

No the last two digits are the checksum that gets calculated automatically. It looks like your wheel is already set to 88* based on your post.

Yeah looking at the sheet that still doesn't make sense.

For the 714-02 block
714-02-01: 0258 5858 28 it says Heated Steering Wheel (Full Hot), which is identical to my values

Then under that on the sheet there is this line.

714-02-01: 0258 5858 xx - Wheel Temperature = 88ºF

So how do you get 88*? I'm assuming mine is Full Hot right now, since my values match the Full Hot line in the sheet.

I believe you're set to 88* now. I think the Full Hot is an older line that isn't really accurate now. I'd follow the lines below it that show the actual temp you're setting the wheel at. If you want the hottest it can get use the 100* line:
714-02-01: 0264 6464 xx - Wheel Temperature = 100ºF

Just read the first page of that link. But there's 578 pages. Ain't nobody got time for that. Basically, in a nut shell, and lay mans terms, simplified, broken down, it means we can "jail break" our trucks and add small features like the ones listed previously. But you'll need what?

A way to tap into your truck through the OBD II port
The account through FORScan
The actual software "FORScan"?

Those items and some technical knowhow to see what you're looking for and is that really it?
You are not jailbreaking your truck at all. You are not breaking software and hooking custom bootloader's or anything even remotely like that. These are all factory configurable opinions the hardware and software were made for, but for whatever reason Ford choose not to allow them to be directly configurable by the end user.

I'd like to have heated steering wheel and seats to stay on after remote start. What happens is as soon as you get in and push the start button the they both turn off.

Also, I'd like them both to come on when I start the vehicle next time. If I want them off I'll shut them down myself.
Mine do that now.... Check your settings.

Are our mirrors considered tow mirrors, and require the pin swap for the folding mirror/ key Fob option? can't seem to get that Forscan option to work
No. No pin swap necessary for the raptors. And by the way, the better mirror option is Lincoln mirrors, IMO. Once you close and lock your doors, they stay stowed until you unlock, open and close the door again. It cuts down on unnecessary cycling of the mirror.

Go drive it a bit and they should show up again.
Yeah.... That freaked me out too.... But they showed right back up within a second or two of driving. Guessing the sending units in the wheels are motion activated/energized. During the update, the current values are overwritten and they don't receive an initial value until the sending units are energized.
