Well - just got through first tank of gas - I was pulling plastic off suspension left on after delivery and see grease everywhere. Dealer said cv boot is bad. In for replacement now. I told them to replace it all. We will see if they can get parts.

Unlucky?

yeah, boots are easy to fùck up if you’re inexperienced, inattentive or there’s a defect. When the boot goes, the grease gets spewed all over the place. It’s messy but it sounds like you caught everything in time.

Yes - 23.

Talked to ford today - they don’t know if they can find the axle because the truck is so new. Said they bumped to emergency back order - but said it is basically a waiting game of i get replacement part.

Do you think I have any options? I don’t want my truck sitting at dealer for months over broken cvaxle - especially since I had nothing to do with it breaking.

Don’t manufacturers have some responsibility to make parts available if a car breaks so quick?
