I’ve been reading a lot on here about cam phaser issues. They seem to affect pre 2019 raptors the most. Does anyone know if the 2020 engines are prone to the same failure?

Not as much statistically as the pre ’19 models.

Oh Gahd not another one of these threads. There are 50 on this topic in search function. The part was re designed in late 2019 and installed after that.

thatjeepguy is completly right, also I can understand our OP is lost whith all camphaser thread.
It sound that if you truck is build until 19'S november, you can be concerned, after that it's appear that engine is equiped with new design part. That's why you can have some 20'S withe the problem , thos built at the end of 2019 except december... Cross finger is still actuall mine is 02/20....

As others have stated, if 2020’s are effected it can only be a small batch of early builds, mines a very late august ‘20 build so I’m good (I guess)

My ‘18 developed the cold start rattle @ 36k but my ‘20 has 38k now still smooth as silk

Really doesn't matter whether or not you get an effected truck. The most recent updated phasers and calibration seem to have resolved the issue.
