What about the transmission?

Read the beginning of my post, I address that.

Probably just Ford/Motorcraft BS, but there is an actual transfer case fluid specified for the transfer case and it's a different part number and bottle than the specified ATF. Doing research suggested that the transfer case fluid uses slightly different friction modifiers. I thought of upgrading the transfer case fluid but stuck with the Ford specified t-case fluid out of warranty concerns. Just putting that info out for those who would be concerned. A Ford tech might want to chime in on this.

My truck is a 2012 and I took what was recommended in the manual and crossed it over with the Redline equivalent.

Not sure about other years specified fluid.

Amsoil has 2 different fluids---one for the tranny and one for the trans case. It was explained to me by Amsoil that the same fluid could not be used because of the different properties required.

Might just make sure before you drive too long on it.

i am thinking i should probably go ahead and do a complete fluid swap as well.

I noticed when throwing it into 4l it was not sounding to happy up front. Thankfully i havent been in 4l but that once.

Boss Hoss what amsoil products are you running?

Hey JTRATX you never said what fluid you used for the trans. Unless I'm just crazy

I haven't done the trans yet, it's a pain to do, there is no drain plug and you have to use a hand pump to fill the trans.

I will sue D6 ATF when I do it.

Ok so let me get the list straight

Redline Fluids
Rear Diff - 75w140
Front Diff - 75w90
Xfer - D4 ATF
Trans - D6 ATF
Motor oil - i'm on my own

Im a redline man myself but what do you recommend for the intervals to change the redline fluids. My Talon, the redline stuff was changed every 3k miles just because the drivetrain cost so much, weather it needed to be changed or not.
