Hockster maybe you can help me diagnose the issue for the dealership. Drove it over and hour yesterday with zero blower the entire time. Park it around 6:30. I get back to it at 10:45 crack it and the damn thing starts going. I think it has something to do with how hot something in the vehicle is getting during the day. The blower usually works when I crank it in the mornings but by afternoon after sitting in the sun all day its off again. Any ideas?

Wow... ha ha.. First I would make sure that its on Max AC setting. If it still does this its got something going on with the auto temp sensor thats my take on it from what you have said... But make sure ti does this on Max AC first...

i dont know if this will help, but here is a problem i had in th past
a customer came into our shop with alarm issues, it would go off randomly. after searching for an hour to find the problem i came across a bad resistor/ diode. it looked good on the outside, but the difference in outside temp made the metal in the diode expand and contract ever so slightly, but just enough to make/break contact inside the diode itself, causing the alarm to go off. hockster would know more than me, but if what he said doent give you any type of result, maybe check again into that resistor again.

yes it was. i found the location of the problem fairly quickly. but everytime i connected my meter to the wire the weight of the clamp from my meter reconnected the circuit, so it looked like everything was fine. drove me nuts for a while.

i hear you on those intermittent problems. but my hair doesnt fall out, i pull it out hahaha

That seems like a viable explanation of what is happening here. Hopefully a replacement resistor and all will be well again. Thanks guys.

so to make sure it is hot in your truck when the fan wont blow? Mine only blows for a few seconds than the truck is cool and the fan is at lower speed that is how it is supposed to work but if your truck cab is hot it should blow faster but a slow blow is good if it's not getting to hot for ya.

I was just busting your balls. I couldn't think of anything to help you other than that. The Ford professionals had some good thoughts on how to fix it...
