To wrap up my experience here, I took the truck to the Ford dealer and they reprogrammed in about 5 minutes total. There was no adding to the computer- simply went into reset mode, then went around with a handheld tool that "beeped" each wheel. Ended up not charging me even though on the phone they said $39.99.

Dealer said he had never seen it go that easy, so I'm guessing the aftermarket sensors were more "sensitive" than stock or something? On a couple of the wheels he walked up to it without even putting the tool on it and it recognized it. I guess because it was so simple he felt bad charging $40.

Glad you didn't have to pay - I only charge 10.00 here to reset TPMS.

so is this the same tool you can buy for $57 ?

I'd rather buy the tool and have it handy than have to sit at the dealer half the day until the tech "shows up" to get this done.

Put my new FUEL Hostages on yesterday and had an interesting TPMS scenario unfold. After install the TPMS warning light was on, and LOW TIRE PRESSURE warning was on my display center. I manually put the truck into learn via the brake pedal stomp / key cycle on & off method and attempted to use my shops TPMS reset tool to no avail. I moved the truck forward a foot and tried again - several times. Finally I tried using a magnet from a transmission pan - once again, no dinkum. On the way home from work, the TPMS light goes out, message disappears and hasn't come back on. WTF?

Mine had gone off by the time I got to the dealer too, but I had them reprogram anyway. Not sure if it would have come back, or if it auto-learns or what. So now where are the pics of the truck with the new wheels?

I have new fuel octanes and 35/12.5/20 tires with new sensors installed with 60 miles on the odometer, no warnings, at 110 miles I swapped out the stock spare with no sensor to a matching fuel octane with a sensor at 130 miles I got a tpms fault message. I was able to get into the learn procedure but was dropping the raptor off for an audio upgrade. Will stop by the dealer next week when I get the truck back. I'm guess It could be that the new spare with a tpms set it off or the guys at 4 wheel parts didn't reset the system . Anyone else using a spare with a sensor ?
when i switch out between these and the stockers will i need to reset the system each time?
