That’s entirely speculation. Ford Performance is corporate. Take your conspiracy theories somewhere else. I posted the interview, if you want to be ignorant that’s your choice.

Do you have even the most basic understanding of an FPC engine? The Voodoo is a terrible choice for a truck, it was designed for the GT350 to be used at the track at high RPM. It’s lacking in low end torque and doesn’t make power until the top of the rev range. In other words it would be horrible in an F-150, never mind a Raptor.

You’d be out a lot of money then. Take rate on standard F-150 favors EcoBoost by a wide margin, and the 3.5/5.0 have similar horsepower outputs. In Raptor, the 3.5 outperforms the old 6.2 in every aspect while being much more efficient. The 6.2 is a dog, Ford wasn’t going to embarrass themselves by offering an slow old E-Series fleet engine in their new flagship product.

I posted the interview. That’s not my opinion. I’m basing my responses on facts, no speculation. The idea that you think the 5.2 Voodoo was a valid choice for a Raptor says all we need to know.

I didn't say the 5.2L was a good choice. But it was there and as we know, cam changes along with intake changes can adapt to truck applications.. just like the 5.0 makes 470hp in the mustang and what 365hp in f150? There was plenty of options for V8 engines..

Why is the Predator hand built? Seems like it’s the reason that the R couldn’t be produced is large enough numbers.

Hellcats are mass produced, and are stuffed into whatever SRT wants. I wish Ford did the same and given us the 5.2 in the G3, no R needed. Call it speculation all you want, but the amount of Ford guys buying a TRX (myself included) would have been minimal.

That way you’ll get someone’s hand written signature on top of the blower

That in itself is worth the 30k markup

So V8’s don’t water down the raptor got it
Go back and actually read what he wrote instead of just repeating your same line.
He said, "water down the Raptor by offering the 5.0 from the standard F-150 that is significantly slower and less fuel efficient". Why just make stuff up?

You can't make a flat plane crank not be a flat plane by tuning. It's just how they are.

Flat Plane Crankshaft Advantages: Lighter, more compact, more responsive (high-revving), better exhaust scavenging.

Flat Plane Crankshaft Disadvantages: Prone to vibration, lower torque levels.

Adapt an FPC engine to a truck application with “some cam and intake changes”?

Your “plenty of options” are clearly based on your very limited understanding of engine performance and design. At this point you’re just throwing things at the wall and trying to get them to stick.

Because it’s a special product. Just like the prior generation Cobra and GT500 engines. They don’t want to produce the R in large numbers; it’s a limited production vehicle by intent.

Most people don’t want or need a 700HP truck that gets 10MPG. That’s why the G3 comes standard with the 3.5 that still does 0-60 in 5 seconds.

What your essentially asking is for Ford to ignore all of the buyers who are more than content with the standard powertrain’s performance and 650 mile range, absorb the development and engineering cost of adapting the 5.2 into the Raptor, and then sell it for the same price as a base G3. That’s simply ridiculous.

Like I’ve been trying to say…it depends on what V8.

Yeah I never actually talked about any engine other than just a general desire for a V8 so you are actually making stuff up old fart. He bashed V8 engines and then said a V8 is a good engine. Guess to him it depends which one, I don’t really care. I also write out a length reply addressing his concerns looking for actual conversation and he just ignores all the points says V8’s suck and nobody cares about the history of the raptor and goes on to the next troll. That’s fine, you children have fun!
