So do a massive cover-up?? haha

C'mon... you know that's not possible. If it wasn't me that posted my truck, it would be Joe-Schmo. Thinking it wouldn't get brought up is COMPLETELY un-realistic.

Plus, it's likely saved many owners (that run their truck hard) from having the same problem. For every member upset, there's an equal number that have stated their appreciation for pointing out the issue.

Since then I have ran my truck hard without worrying. 50+mph through HUGE whoops in the dunes over and over without even a hiccup.

Obviously STI your wanting to start something up here with people who frankly don't care any more. It was determined that it was their own damn fault. no questions about it

Not here to start anything... just correcting mis-information.

I'm glad that you haven't damaged your truck... BELIEVE ME. It's a crappy process, and not something anybody wants to happen. Of course it takes the right circumstances, but it DOES happen.

Is it widespread, happening to everybody that goes off road? Of course not! It's only been experienced by those unfortunate enough to run into the "perfect storm" of speed vs. obstacle.

So... it's Ford's fault that you drove your truck far too fast over unfamiliar terrain and crashed it over an obstacle that was far too big? Congrats on being the guy that discovered he wasn't driving a trophy truck after all and then tried to point the finger back at Ford. And guess what? Even trophy trucks break when you overdrive them.

So basically it only happens to people who abuse their truck.

Not the first guy... actually the "last" guy that day!

I just posted the information, and had NO IDEA what it would become. At that point, we didn't even know it was a bent frame! Just speculation, could have been body mounts, anything really.

Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, and sure the obstacle was OBVIOUSLY too fast... however, you've seen the video. It's NOT that dramatic, and most people would assume (like we did) that this truck wouldn't have sustained any damage from hitting it.

Oh well... it happened... it's done... it can't be un-done... and it is STILL possible for those owners that push their trucks or "abuse" them which seems to be the buzz word.

Other forums will latch on to ANYTHING they can, to discredit this truck, because they know it's truly king of all production trucks...

If "abuse" is described as driving the truck aggressively off-road... then yes, you are correct. I do run my truck hard, and that's never been a secret. So did the others on the run (obviously) and I suppose many of us at that point in time assumed it was going to hold up to "abuse" from the average Joe driver.

I'm glad your frame bent.
I hope it does again.
And again.
And again.

You said cover it up not I... I surely wouldn't have gone about the reporting of it like you or whom ever did... I have destroyed many of my trucks and I didnt make a big deal of it or went to Ford and said hey, this needs to be repaired under warranty. If I remember right you were complaining that Ford wouldn't fix it... and cried when they said its your fault... Its great that it was found out that if you drive the truck way over what it was designed for this might happen... You just blew it way out of proportion...

You do realize that other members (on this forum and the other) bent theirs... and that other members (on this forum and the other) took their truck in for warranty claim? I'm just the only one with the balls to document my process, and actually provide detailed information on the subject matter.

I'm truly sorry if that upsets you enough to hold what seems like personal hatred towards me... I was only trying to provide info and help fellow owners.
