So... it's Ford's fault that you drove your truck far too fast over unfamiliar terrain and crashed it over an obstacle that was far too big? Congrats on being the guy that discovered he wasn't driving a trophy truck after all and then tried to point the finger back at Ford. And guess what? Even trophy trucks break when you overdrive them.
Not the first guy... actually the "last" guy that day!
I just posted the information, and had NO IDEA what it would become. At that point, we didn't even know it was a bent frame! Just speculation, could have been body mounts, anything really.
Obviously, hindsight is 20/20, and sure the obstacle was OBVIOUSLY too fast... however, you've seen the video. It's NOT that dramatic, and most people would assume (like we did) that this truck wouldn't have sustained any damage from hitting it.
Oh well... it happened... it's done... it can't be un-done... and it is STILL possible for those owners that push their trucks or "abuse" them which seems to be the buzz word.
Other forums will latch on to ANYTHING they can, to discredit this truck, because they know it's truly king of all production trucks...

So basically it only happens to people who abuse their truck.

If "abuse" is described as driving the truck aggressively off-road... then yes, you are correct. I do run my truck hard, and that's never been a secret. So did the others on the run (obviously) and I suppose many of us at that point in time assumed it was going to hold up to "abuse" from the average Joe driver.
