Are there any exhaust that make this truck sound good

I agree with your comments. That is what I started with in an effort to fix my gas pedal vibration issue, but it didn't work, so Corsa recommended that I add the X-pipe. The X-pipe fixed the vibration, but also made my exhaust system fairly loud. That said, I kind of like it. The only time I don't necessarily care for it is if I am cruising at 75 MPH or higher on the highway. Below that speed everything is pretty quiet, but starting at 75 MPH you will hear a constant note from the exhaust which can get old on long trips.

As for the sound difference, the Corsa muffler definitely provides a better sound than the stock exhaust and a little more rumble without being extreme. If you add the X-pipe, it is a lot louder, but the sound deepens and it honestly sounds like an eight cylinder.

I only did it because my gas pedal had the most annoying vibration caused by something the dealer called "harmonic frequency vibrations". As he described it, because the truck has a true dual exhaust, your get sound waves pulsing down both exhaust pipes which somehow play against each and can cause vibrations at certain frequencies. By adding the X-pipe, the sound waves are forced to cross and balance out which helps eliminate the harmonic frequency issue. I never thought I would like a much louder exhaust system, but in the Raptor, it really works for me in most situations.

Here is how I would summarize my experiences modifying the exhaust system. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give the stock exhaust a 4 for the amount of noise. It definitely does not sound like an eight cylinder, but I didn't hate how it sounded. If you add just the Corsa muffler, I would say the sound level goes to a 6 with a slightly better note (a little deeper). If you add the X-pipe to the Corsa muffler, the sound level jumps to a 10, but the sound is much deeper and sounds like an eight cylinder.

Thanks for this review. Corsa muffler and resonator delete is definitely going to be my next mod.

Best engine sound I've ever heard was a British Spitfire fighter plane engine with Roll Royce V12 Merlin engine. Almost 1100 HP

^^^ .... ask Full Race...... they did the work for the majority of components that make the GT different than the regular ecoboost. From what they have said, the majority of sound difference comes from the fact the GT has a much shorter distance to exhaust outlet. This may be why Borla’s polyphonic system of tuning lengths of pipes works.... much like an organ is tuned.

My truck sounds good I think and everyone that I know says it sounds great also. It it didn’t I would jerk everything off and start over again. But it’s bout as good as I think I can get with a dagum 6 cylinder engine. Cai, Spd turbo adapters, downpipes And Borla Atak muffler, with Resonator, must use H pipe though or it sounds like crap. 1,050 for Borla atak and 378 for resonator, no need for the Borla 2k exhaust package, waste money, also spd turbo adapters is a must, big difference in sound without them. Wish I could get the sound recorded good enough to post on here. It’s definitely not loud unless I get on it and want it to be.

Yes most definitely, it really sounds great, wish I could meet someone near me that is on this forum to hear it. It does not drone and is not raspy. I was afraid of the Borla atak when I purchased it, thought it might be to loud or raspy loud, but it’s not either, without the other mods i have I’m not sure, might sound like crap. But my combo sounds great is all i can vouche for, Just don’t use x pipe if have downpipe installed, that sounds like fart can, once I got the spd adapters installed I absolutely loved it ever since, it made it a lot deeper sound. I will not be changing exhaust again on this truck and can guarantee anybody do the same setup I have will like it.
