Why the new shifter? So you won't have T/H mode or manual mode? What about the 6 gears in the trans? Your shifter only shows 4 gears?

And pardon my ignorance on the above questions, just curious.

Correct.. The T/H button has been moved to the console top and everything else will function as normal. The MAJOR advantage in this shifter is you can hit it as hard as you want and it will only move one gear at a time...This for me is a big deal. I would very often over shift the truck when the going got ruff and fast...It's difficult for me to gingerly try to make a gear change in those conditions.... Top 5 mod of all time on my truck..

I used to run a hurst vertical gate shifter in my nova back in the seventies. You could just slam the gears and not worry about missing a shift. Ask me how I know lol. Scattered the engine on my First 1/4 mile pass on the car. Missed a shift when the engine torqued over went from second back to first.
