Spent 13 hours in my truck yesterday driving from Vegas to San Diego thanks to the snowstorm that closed 1-15 and the resulting holiday traffic once it reopened. Normally 4.5 to 5 hour trip.

Installed icon bump stops. Install was one of the more frustrating ones I have had. Getting the bolts to line up took some effort, but we both came to an understanding and they are all installed. Also broke the weld on the nut for the factory bump stop bolt, so it just freely spins now lol, I will have to address that at a later date.

Thanks @Rick@FreedomMotorsports

What kind of extension did you use to reach the 2 bolts on the outside frame bracket? I’m doing the same install right now very tight work space. I’m doing the full icon stage 4 and thought this would be the easiest part. I hope I am wrong lol

I used a long extension with a swivel on the end. One of the those jobs where a second set of hands really helps.

Debating on heading to the dealer to replace my whining power steering pump. 50K miles and my PremiumCare warranty is up in 700 miles. $100 deductible and I will be putting a different reservoir on.

Looks like the pump is around $200 with a $60 core charge thru Rock Auto.

Worth the trip or just do it myself and save a guaranteed run around from the dealer?

Howe, SDHQ, GJ or RPG reservoirs are the best options? Any others to consider?

I had my last pump replaced under my ESP and they didn’t give me grief.

We sell the Howe and Lee full kit. And we also sell the GJ Motorsports reservoir kit. If you have room, I would recommend that one if you just want a reservoir upgrade and it has the option of the extra cooler if you have room. Glad to help you out if interested.
