Turning off dash lights

i havent really looked into disabling the dash lights. i will try to see what i can come up with

I watched those and didn't see where he showed the mod for the dash lights. I saw the two switches, one by the door and one under the steering column, on a FJ, did I miss it?

I had an aftermarket radio setup that was way too bright, couldn't dim it enough. It was fine in the city with lights and such around, but in the middle of nowhere it was blinding. Built a cover for that, but I could see where it would a lot nicer to flip a switch to kill all/most interior lights. A quick fix might be some thicker dark felt/soft fabric to cover the dashboard lights...but sub'd.
