I have a 2010 6.2 Raptor with 19,000 miles. On a recent trip, the "in tow" message came on, followed by the "decent control" message, followed by the wrench icon and the battery icon. Accompanying this was transmission issues as described in other posts (rough gear changes, etc.).
On inspection, the Powertrain Control Module had water infiltration and has failed. I have not had the truck off-road and have not cleaned the engine compartment. The only reason I can come up with is that rainwater has come off the windshield and found its way into the PCM.
Ford has had some similar issues with their 2004/5 freestar vans. Has anyone had such a problem or can there be another cause?
