RPM on first start up??

Good day! I have a 2013 and when I start it up, the engine runs at about 1250 rpm for 30 seconds and then backs down to 1000 rpm until it warms up or drive it a bit. I took the tail pipe and muffler off, run a tuner and CAI. I've got tunes from 2 different companies and it does it with either. Is this normal? Or does this happen on a stock truck?

I'm pretty sure it's normal. Every vehicle I've owned does this. I wouldn't say it's quite 30 seconds though.

Mine does the same thing most of the time. It did it stock, and does now with a Whipple.

I really don't mind the aggressive start up in the mornings.... my neighbors on the other hand...

I have a 2011, its normal, did it stock , and does it after market.

You can change it in the settings- its called quiet start i think. go to remote start and you will find it.
