2014 Gen 1 Raptor - trouble starting on 1st try

2014 Gen 1 Raptor -- having an issue trying to start. 1st start of the day, no problem -- but when I drive anywhere, park for a bit, then try to start, it will make a weird electrical-clicking sound then a minor "thump" that sounds like it comes from the undercarriage. Almost always starts on the second try up until yesterday when it turned over but struggled to start 3-4 times. Cluster, lights and everything turn on no problem.

Battery is less than a year old, I did the Fuse 27 relocation and replaced the fuel pump relay module above the spare tire. Checked MAF and it is clean. Has anyone ever ran into a similar issue & found a fix?

Kind of sounds like the starter going bad.

Agree with Guardrail on the starter may be the issue, might want to check the connections at the starter.

Couple years ago we got the wife an Expedition...
needed starter right away.
It was drawing so much that it drained the battery quick
