What a bunch of Nancys.

It's a drivetrain upgrade that is overdue. 450 HP from a boosted to the moon Cyclone motor wasn't going to carry them forever.

The engine has a throttle. Too much for ya? Don't push the pedal so hard.

You’re always throwing the same BS at the wall trying to get it to stick. The Gen 2 3.5 is not cyclone based, it’s a clean sheet design shared with the Ford GT. You constantly try and put down Gen 2 and 3, yet all you’re doing is making yourself look ignorant.

If Gen 2/3 were “boosted to the moon” as you claim, they wouldn’t be putting down 100+ more HP with only a tune.

Mm-kay. It's not a Cyclone said the "expert". Please. They added DI, halved the timing chain length and tried yet again to get cam phasers that would live.

Of course you can keep cranking boost. How long do you think it'll last at 25 psi though? What kind of fuel are you goign to run that won't detonate?

More to the point- why didn't Ford crank the boost up more on the venerable Cyclone? Why did they change to a bigger and heaver engine?

If such a truck were to come to market, it would have sorted suspension. That’s really what separates the Rap from the TRX.

Gen 3s have different suspension between 35s and 37s. It seems unlikely they wouldn't also change it up as needed for the R.

As far as the question of whether there will be a Gen 4, I think there will still be plenty of room in the market for a full size Raptor even with the growth of EVs and rising gas prices. But yes, it does make sense for Ford to expand it out to Bronco and Ranger since those type of vehicles are also known for offroad and they will be much more affordable to a lot of consumers.

What don’t you understand about Gen 2 being a clean sheet design? That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact. You keep regurgitating the same fallacies with every post, the fact that you don’t want to believe it doesn’t change anything. You live in your own little world of ignorance. You’ve made it obvious that know absolutely nothing about about these engines, yet you sure have a lot of bullsh!t to post to try and stir the pot.

Who said anything about 25PSI? You claimed the engine was “boosted to the moon” to make 450HP, which is clearly not the case when people are tuning these trucks to push 100+ horsepower more without issues.

But hey, keep believing that the Ford GTs won at Le Mans with a modified cyclone :jester:
