So, found the PAC FD31 a bit cheaper (under $400) and figured, why not give it a go as I've used their products in several other vehicles...latest being a Jeep GC SRT w/factory head unit. I feel that if it works fine, since pretty much plug-&-play, this will be a good starting point and save over the $400 Zen NAVTV module. If you've used, please chime in. Right now, I plan on boosting the power to the factory speakers to increase the volume, knowing that I'm also adding aftermarket subs (10" under back seat). So, current plans are to power all factory speakers with my JL XD600.6 for front stage and rear doors (may add the JL TwK DSP in for good measure and even more tweaking), all utilizing factory ran speaker wire, Dynamat all (4) doors and using my JL600.1 for my subs. Beautiful thing about boosting the speaker power over the factory B&O, is that the bass will be tuned down on the front stage (and rear), so if done right, should improve and not damage the speakers...although, again, this is just the starting point. I do intend to run new speaker wire and replace factory speakers in the future - when this is not enough;) Should be straight forward w/o hacking any wires...stay tuned!

I’ve got the PAC in hand and going to install it in my gen 3 as soon as my amps come in. It’s my understanding that you have to run new wire to the from tweeters as those are powered by the head unit, at least on gen 3 b&o.

Awesome! The tweeters are an easy run, as well as the center channel (thinking I'm just going to run the center on full range). I've also decided on integrating my Hertz DSP coming from the PAC, then out to my JL XD600/1 & XD8OO/8. Picked up my sub box today with a Set of 10" Audisons, so hopefully have it all done within the next week or so. Good luck to you and keep us posted!

How did it turn out?

I'm looking at upgrading my system as well and it seems most are using this now vs the Zen-A2B.

Zen what? The PAC is almost half the price and works amazingly well...running all my audio via the Toslink/Fiber Optic. The speaker wire in the factory plug-&-play harness was just long enough to hit my XD800.8, so no extensions needed. As a side note, and PAC could not even tell me as they've never had anyone ask, the yellow fused wire is constant power, the red is keyed...so I tapped these to power my Hertz H8 DSP, FYI. All doors, both inside and out sound matted, made my own block off plates and amp rack out of HDPE, power ran to battery via factory grommet and grounded direct to frame. Only thing I'm going to change is to get rid of my Audison 10's (sealed box) and run with (2) JL TW10's ported. Just put a conservative tune in the H8 this morning and it all fired right up, bumping down the road!

Thanks for the update!

It's nice we have an option to Zen now. Looks like I'll be building a system sooner then later now.

I’m running the pac as well on my gen 3. Works great. One thing to note, I thought I would still keep the rear speakers powered of the factory head unit but they don’t play anything now (b&o unleashed). If I want to add them back I’ll have to add the included t harness to the dash and add another amp. I’m currently running the kicker key 200.4 active to front stage. Sounds great.

Not true if you already have another amplifier with (2) available channels...you can wire the PAC connection harness to "Speaker #3 & 4" (the HAR harness that plugs into the PAC). If you're active and have another amp, I'd look into a DSP with (8) channels and you can send signal for most of the factory speakers...all though, not sure if you can hit all of them with the PAC harness in a Gen 3. All speakers w/exception of my tweeters run through factory wiring and all my stages are active via the DSP. SGS on here stated I would have not issues if I stayed under 1k watts, which I'll NEVER do...what I have is way more than I need.

Acquired a set of JL TW12's the other day, so 10" Audison's coming out and custom under seat, ported box for 12's is in design now and will be building this weekend. Truck goes in next Wednesday for final, professional DSP tuning!
