HELP! Running Board Removal- What Size Socket?

Hope this is the right area to post this.

I would just go right out and see for myself, but I don't have the truck with me right now. I'm going to take the running boards off, but need to go to the store to get the right size socket. All I need is a wrench and socket, correct?

1/2 inch socket. Yes to the wrench and socket, if you don't have a flat head screw driver yo might want one of those also to take out the retainer clips

do you just move the bit thats not broken up to the drivers door for a shorty step? lol
