So I went with a Ford performance filter, 5w 30 mobile 1 , I've yet to have any cold start tap at all. 27 degrees last night and cold start was smooth and perfect sounding. I think changing from wix was the key to not having this happen.

Mobile 1 has shyte #’s for add pack. But if you changing oil every 3-5k it doesnt matter.

I changed my oil last night, went with M1 filter and 5w-30 Penzoil Platinum. I haven't had any cold start tapping, but I WAS having an issue with hot start tapping for 5-8 seconds after startup. I was running Motorcraft 5w-20 and a motorcraft filter, but since my truck is high mileage and new to me, I planned on doing some short OCI's to make sure it's getting good and cleaned up in there.
