OP stated he to removed the shroud which contradicts this statement.

So does anyone know if you keep the shroud with the CV Titan?
I wasn't able to keep the shroud when I installed the Titan. Trying to wedge the IC into position while laying on your back, holding the thing up and simultaneously connecting everything made that nearly impossible. Once it's in place, the gap was quite small and I didn't see the point of reinstalling it. I'm sure you could if you really worked for it but there's really no benefit as that shroud almost limits the new IC because of its larger surface area.

Curious how the Cobb offering says you can keep it and would love a side by side like that video posted.

I used an Injen and could not retain the inch wide shroud. It may have fit if it was maybe a half in in width. Nobody I know with the Titan retained the shroud either. Mishi includes there own shrouding strips attached to close the gap.

I pulled the shutters from then IC as well. I’m in a very warm climate. Easy mod should you choose too.

What do you recommend?
there are too many options out there that are no cut installs. Really depends on how big you want to go. the cobb is definitely not cheap in this category. the garrett is similar price and slightly bigger and has a built in drain hole

That statement is in regards to making a permanent modification to the vehicle. The OEM shroud is removed for this intercooler, however, it is still usable if you were to remove the intercooler and return to stock. Unlike the relocated FMIC from COBB which requires cutting the the main grille and supports, this factory relocation intercooler does not make a permanent alteration to the truck.

Also, the CVF Titan also loses the shroud. I don't know of any aftermarket intercoolers that keep the shroud. Additionally, most aftermarket bumpers will also require some alternation or removal of shroud.
