Wow this is interesting news to me.
I wonder if 5 star is going to do something about it or let it go.
I always wondered why the Whipple did not use the AFE intake, looked like a natural for
the air intake Particularly because the outside air temp is lower than, the underhood
temps.

I think tomorrow I will call 5 star and ask them about this issue.

I talked to Mike at 5 Star this morning and he said that he has not had more than a couple
for failed couplers with the last 4 or five years.

He want on to say he did not see it as a problem. So no fix is in the mix.
IMHO if it fails on your truck once it is a problem. I am not sure how to reinforce this
coupler, so it will not brake down in a desert race inviorment.

Any thought on this Guys??????
I will add that the product seems like a good idea. However if this is a problem, then that is a concern.

Outlaw is only recommending the Volant intake, stating several design benefits... I'll ask Connor about it again when I see him, and share the info.

I have the volant and I'm not impressed at all. I don't like them and their service sucks.

I love the K&N. Not that anybody asked me. I'm a fan of how it deletes the silencer box on top of the engine and sounds damn mean. Plus, it doesn't have the airbox that can trap water and direct it into the filter/engine. Odds are you'll enjoy whatever you wind up getting.

Have at you!
