I know somebody that has a bone stock 92 454SS. He only takes out for a quick joy ride once or twice every summer. Nice truck, but his is a little underwhelming as it only makes about 235 hp.

That big block Chevy truck probably always had more bark than bite, but in the day it was quick for the period I guess. But just having a big block in a truck then was like wow. Still always a ton of potential.

I bet the torque curve wasn’t bad in your modded truck.

Mine is a 93 so they only made 840 that year and was the final year. Engines had a ton torque 405ish , hp 255. Cam change could get you to 300hp. Last time i raced 14 years ago it ran 13.2 1st gear was impossible to use , pretty much 2nd and 3rd gear run. Old technology. But its still fun.

Well that’s cool it’s certainly a collectors truck. Yeah old tech but fun and you got it running really good. Hell if you worked with it some more 12’s were in reach and that’s pretty quick! Any idea what your MPH was through the traps?
