So the dealer has been on the hotline several times with no luck.
In the interim, ford had the dealer replace the front camera, the switching module, and the rear camera from my truck. Changing the front camera did change something. Now the front camera comes on, but the rear camera does not. Put the truck in reverse and you see out the front camera. Like it reversed the issue I was having.
Finally got a field service engineer to give it a shot. They have actually borrowed parts off another truck to try to get this thing fixed. Here's where it stands now.
they isolated a circuit that had high resistance from the bcm, we overlayed that and had no change, so all the wiring looks ok at this time
interestingly enough the front camera that we replaced last time is working in the stock unit, and the new one induces the problem that you have, the front shows when rear should, in the stock unit. we have transferred the bcm to yours from the new truck and the switching module, no change, so in short we have transferred all the components involved in making the switch from front to rear and there is no change and the new front camera makes the brand new truck act like yours does, but whe we put your old front camera back in your truck it shows the rear when in 4x4 low – drive.
