Are you going to Amelia, or are you going to Pebble Beach this year?

All jokes aside, that doesn’t sound great. My used truck’s paint isn’t even that bad. I spent hours ceramic coating it a few weeks ago so all the blemishes are fresh on my mind. Have Ford fix it. Why did you sign for that, OP?

In my case it was kind of freeing. A few small dings and scrapes and I don’t have to worry that I hit a branch off-road somewhere.

for the ascent (new model) ,yes,not for outback or other model,you cannot generalized just for one car.Subaru and Porsche are the only company who make flat engine=lower center gravity .
same as electric car,just

Did you not read the article? Subaru’s quality was poor long before the Ascent came along. The Ascent is just their latest example of low quality and poor engineering.

I've said this before...

The raptor is NOT a $75k truck.

It is a $30k F150 with $45k worth of performance and features upgrades. Oh and that $30k base f150 isn't even $30k. They can be had for <$25k with end of model year rebates typically...LOL

For the mechanical noises, take it in to the dealer, its under warranty. Certainly shouldn't be getting a grinding or marbly sound.

Hey as much as these guys are being rough, I have to be honest and say I came from a handful of Audi's myself. Back in 2006 I bought a Mustang GT which was an awesome car, and the most car for the $ I could afford on my budget at the time. Tons of fun, but ultimately a cheap toy. Granted, Mustangs have come a hell of a long way since 2006 these days ...

Point being, I've been a bit annoyed with a laundry list of fitment issues and a handful of TSB's and recalls right off the lot with my new Raptor. I had an inkling this is what I'd have to set my standards at with Ford, but c'mon boys ... I'm going to agree. I don't care if it's a "$35K base truck with $40K of upgrade parts" - something coming out of Ford's performance division should be treated for what it's meant to be ... a luxury vehicle. A luxury vehicle simply means it's purposely built and intended to more than strictly get you from point A to B. The Raptor is a Ford "halo" product, and the majority of people do indeed buy them in part for that reason. It's a Raptor, and it's cool ... and it's definitely not cheap.

The truck costs more than an Audi S5 Sportback loaded to the teeth, and I can tell you first hand that my S5 hasn't had a single issue at all and everything is as rock-solid at 40,000 as it was off the lot. I know all cars can have issues, and they are mass produced ... but isn't that what automation and robotics has done for vehicle manufacturing, taking human error out of the picture as much as possible? You charge that much, it should be worth that much. Period. The other sore spot with Ford, is they absolutely take you to school in the finance department ... 7% interest compared to 0.9 or 1.9% on an Audi, and with the Audi you get free Audi care meaning you have ALL of your schedules services paid for and included with the car.

I see the OP's point ... just the truth, and kind of a trade off with this Raptor. I love my truck for what it is, and it is a truck ... but I'm still annoyed at the lack of QC from Ford. That to me, is valid.

Perhaps you misunderstand what you're buying. It is a truck, not a "luxury" vehicle. You can not compare a car to a truck for pricing. The massive size difference alone means the truck requires more raw material to produce and is therefore likely to be more expensive.

Also, you called the raptor a ford "halo" vehicle. A lowly S5 is NOT audi's Halo vehicle, its a two door S4, which is one step above an S3 which is their bottom end car. Look at an RS7 or S8 pricing for an Audi Halo vehicle (or just an Audi that comfortably seat 5 adults to compare to an S-Crew raptor), then get back to me on how you feel about how the raptor is priced.

If the raptor is truly the Halo vehicle, of course they "take you to school" in the finance department. Why would they offer incentives to buy a vehicle that people clearly already want to buy. Ford has no reason to offer incentives to help the raptor sell better when dealers are selling them at mark up.

You bought... an F150. A vehicle that ford sells 900k of every year in the US. Audi sells 23,000-25,000 A5/S5/RS5's annually in the us. Even with high manufacturing standards, there are simply going to be more F150's with issues than your Audi. It's math, it's how it works.

You want more QC? You'd be paying 10-15k more for the truck, and whining even more when it had 1 simple issue instead of 3-4 issues...

Buddy the definition of luxury is simply that the vehicle is designed to do more than serve a basic necessity or get you from point A to B reliably. I feel bad for you if you don’t think a $94,000 vehicle isn’t a luxury vehicle in this class.

The Audi S5 sport back I owned (5 seater, 4 door) with Napa leather and their performance engine isn’t the same as an A5. It’s also a $90,000 vehicle CAD. I’m well aware you can purchase an S7 or RS7, or an R8. The only other compatible vehicle in Fords lineup is the Ford GT which is absolutely a halo product. The Raptor is also a Ford performance vehicle quite obviously as it definitely is NOT the same as a standard F150.

sorry but you’re a moron and part of the problem with the shit quality our North American manufacturers get away with. You would never find this level of shit in even an A4, a BMW, Mercedes and even a Lexus.

Give your head a shake and stop making excuses for Ford you fanboy.
