We agree, thumbs up. While looking for a used diesel RV rig, we test drove a ‘17–and it did ride better than our ‘16 (unloaded).

yeah like I said- it amazed me, the Rams even more so. You feel the bumps but they’re very well absorbed & the front end doesn’t feel as discounted from rest of the truck & the rear didn’t seem to bounce around or get skittish in corners nearly as much as I remembered w/ an empty SD

After reading through the entire thread, I completely overthought the whole thing—my apologies!

The Tremor, Raptor, and an endless list of pickups by all manufacturers—work equally well based on tastes/budget for modifying, mall runs, hauling the occasional bag of mulch/hunting dog/ATV, and leaping railroad track crossings in a single bound.

Hahaha that’s one way of looking at it!! I like the raptor cuz it’s an extreme machine but has lots of usefulness too

one of the best examples of that would also be a 4 door wrangler....or one of my all time favs- E63 AMG wagon or RS6 Avant!!

Nothing is really a perfect fit to replace a Raptor because the Rap has no replacement. The P/S tremor will no doubt haul whatever you want but, you won’t be high speed off roading in it. Maintenance on the diesel is going to be more stringent and more expensive.

It comes down to what are you going to use it for?

Why would anyone consider that antiquated rust bucket? It’s not competitive and hasn’t been for a decade.

I love me some tremor. I love the raptor but the tremor is amazing. Either engine.

You mean the circa 2006.5 retro model w/ a V8 that makes about the same power as Ford's smallest 1/2 ton offering 2.7 while also delivering nearly 1/2 the gas mileage & less payload/towing capacity???? OH yeah baby sign me right the F up!!!

Toyota is pathetic - I have no experience in mechanical engineering but FOR SURE could beat whomever they got running that dept out of a job.....cuz where I'm sitting they haven't done a damn thing in 15 years!!!!

This. Had there been, I'd have sold mine back to Ford and bought one. I'd grab one now before they're gone.
