Busa, as we have talked a bit, any chance of putting some subs under the front seats or in the center console? I like to have all the space in my back seat when the seats are up for my dogs or whatever gear. I want a super stealth sub. My old GMC Sierra had the Bose system and the sub was on the center console.

My ideal sounding system is the one i had in my BMW and in my wife's BMW, sounds amazing and the subs are under the front seat. I believe their system is a logic7 set-up.

I like this idea. I need my backseat floor space for my dog.

your rear speakers are 5x7 (or 6x8) so those 525's will not fit perfectly. you will need some sort of summing device to make it work properly. the clean sweep with the summing device woks the best for these trucks, but you can use others if you want. alpine, rockford, audio control, etc, they all make units. but i prefer jl audio. the amp can go on the back wall.

Hey, Thanks busa!

I looked it up in the Crutchfield vehicle fit guide, and it seems the 5x7 fits the front door only. (?)
They do say I will need a bracket for the 525.

As for the CleanSweep and the summing device, is this what I need?

- JL Audio CL441dsp CleanSweep®
- JL Audio CL-SSI

DO I need this too?
- JL Audio CL-LSA
CleanSweep load sensing turn-on trigger

Where will all this stuff go??

Also, the center dash speaker - that just stays hooked up as is, correct?

Thanks again!

here, on frf
those are the ones you need. the summing device combines the front woofer and tweeter together creating a full range signal. the cleansweep removes the factory eq curve and gives you the flattest, cleanest signal. as far as the center channel, im not 100% sure if nav voice is played through it, or all the front speakers. but if you add an amp and speakers you will not hear it. the rest of the audio will overpower it. its up to you if you chose to disconnect it or not. you can mount the equipment behind the back seat. there is a decent anount of room if you keep it low towards the floor.

in the newer f150 i just did, the cl-lsa is not needed. i think its for european vehicles mostly. bmw requires them sometimes. there should not be a reason to need it. the cleansweep has a signal input turn on switch that works perfectly.

Hey nosbusa congrats, I sold my shop in Gilroy about 5 years ago.. Check with your supplier, one is probably Pete, about online sales. When I had the retail shop I was one of the biggest Rockford shops in Cali... I am on a current project with my truck but when I finish your welcome to play just dont scratch it..lol... We did some pretty custom stuff won a ton of trophies at sound offs etc... If you have any questions about owning a shop pm me... Goodluck.... and I will stop by soon to check out the place... oh what about change nothing on the poll...

Got any pics of the custom raptor jobs? Would love to see how you tucked every thing away.

I would like to see a complete system for sale for the standard audio package owners (without navigation) that puts a backup and/or front view camera in the rearview mirror.
