Thanks for all the input so far.

She's used to a big vehicle as the Aspen isn't exactly small, and we had an F150 King Ranch screw before that. Also used to parking far away (to avoid the door dings). Since she has a Mustang GT with mods for a summer car, she likes to go fast and is used to having plenty of power.

It will see some offroad time as her dad is a rancher and she likes to go out checking on cows and the farm with him (we're in Montana)

I'm more concerned about the room in the back seat and saftey features for the kiddo. Since there isn't much mention of those on the website.

Just want to make sure I'm not getting her something she'll hate compared to a regular F150 screw. We're going back to a pickup either way and I know I'd rather have the Raptor!

The Raptor is one of the safest vehicles around. With its wider track, there is less likely to roll over. The regular F-150 is one of the highest safety rated vehicles on the road and the Raptor is no exception. As for a daily driver, it will eat up gas do you have to remember how to budget yourself according since the cost of gas is getting so high and the F-150 has different engine options. The Raptor would be an excellent truck for a cow roundup. It takes the bumps and hills great.

It is great. I have car seats in the back of my Raptor.

Sweet! People look at us like we're nuts with the car seat and German Shepherd in the back of the Mustang convertible. At least with a raptor the dog can ride in back.....where he belongs!

I'm glad to hear that if I get a raptor, it won't be the only "soccer mom" raptor on the road.

Raptor62, Thanks for the saftey info. That was one of my main concerns. We're not overly worried about the gas mileage as I'd put the 6.2 in whichever F150 I buy.

With all the great info on this site, I'm REALLY leaning toward the Raptor.

I can attest to that. I was run off the road in Germany in my 1999 Ford f-150 at 55mph. I was able to avoid catastrophe but still ended up hitting the uphill cliff at a slight angle and rolling the truck 2.5 times. Airbag slapped my arms pretty good but walked away without a scratch (I'll post the aftermath pics once I get off this Gov't PC in a few weeks or so).

When your ready, I would be glad to order you one. I can drop ship it to a dealer in MT. 10-12 weeks for an order -$3000 OFF MSRP

Thanks Randy. I appreciate the offer. But the owner of our local Ford dealership is one of our best customers at the home center my family owns. So I never buy anywhere else.

So you're saying I'll be looking at 10-12 weeks out on an order though hugh?

Pretty close, have your Dealer get one in the order bank to your specs. He can make it a low priority so at least it gets in line.
I'm up to 27 Raptors SOLD or in the order process.

As long as your Wife is good at whipping a big vehicle around a parking lot, I say go for it. The Raptor is wide.... My Girlfriend won't drive mine in an urban area, only because she's afraid to park it!
You'll love whipping it around offroad when you get to steal it from her.
