Let’s back up. Most of you guys realize where in time we are living now? When Gen 3’s first start trickling out, I think in most cases MSRP will be a pipe dream. Look on dealer’s lots. I see no trucks around here. So when they get a few very high demand vehicles like the new Raptor, do you really not think there not going to try and make all they can in it? Look at the prices of used Gen 2’s. If you want to play with the new toy early on, prepare to bring some extra in your wallet. In most cases many of these dealerships and hungry sales people will see it as catch up time on money they haven’t been able to make on truck sales. I don’t mean there won’t be a fair deal here and there. But probably won’t be the norm. I can’t remember when Gen 1 or Gen 2’s didn’t carry premiums either when they first dropped and long after.

The shortage of vehicles on lots thing must be regional. The dealership closest to me has 77 '21 F150s (McCree Ford) on the lot. Next dealer, 44 (Ron Carter). 73 (Mak Haik). 50 (Cook) There is a 'BJ Ford' near by my office that only has 12....but I'm guessing they make more money in the service department. ;)

You will certainly have to pay a deposit, especially if you're not a local, known customer. $500-1000 is pretty standard.

Oh for sure. I was referring to an upfront deposit to "get you on the list" type of thing.

I'm from LA and the dealerships I called out of state mentioned no immediate deposit until they call me back when order books open. I'm just afraid they'll stick to people on the waitlist more local than I am to them lol

Yea I was thinking the same thing. In my city the dealerships look like they haven't skipped a beat. Especially the ford dealership. But that's probably because LA has stupid pricing on everything...

As once quoted. Greed is good.
Or we should all live in a one bedroom apt and ride our govt issued issued e bike to work for the same wage as all our co workers regardless of skill and education.
Call around you will find msrp if you order one. The adm trucks along with their stickers, glass roof and a throw away plastic bed liner for $699, those will exist for awhile on lot trucks for gotta have it now buyer.
I just want to know the dang Official power numbers, come on now Ford, orders get picked up in a month.

On one hand, I hear you; I won't pay ADM. On the other hand, outlawing it (whether Ford or the government) is a step towards socialism; we should let the market handle it. So, let's band together and refuse pay ADM!
Problem you currently have is Socialism has already started taking root with the younger generation

ADM is BS!!! MSRP is BS too, IMHO, but in today's market that's probably the best you can do.

Cody Mathes has a list of dealers on his Raptor Connection channel that have agreed to sell for MSRP. He is also a member of many of the Raptor groups on Facebook. He works for Offroad Alliance.

This is the best way of combating ADM. Support the dealers that sell at MSRP; don't support the dealers that charge ADM.

Unfortunately, a lot of our youth think socialism is the way of the future. Even worse, they're being indoctrinated by older generations who for some reason think socialism is a great thing. They don't know history or economics.
