Trip to Suburbia and back yesterday!

Made a day trip over the mountains from the Okanagan to the coast to pick up some items, and back home.
First stop was to look at the windmill project in the middle of nowhere!

Quick stop for me and the dog to do our thing and found Bambi was having a bad day.

In the middle of the mountains there were signs warning not to stop as forest fires are close by. I only seen one helicopter with a bucket putting out the fires in this area, since there’s no structures around, no big deal I guess.

Welcome to the traffic, seen a nice Chevy truck for sale, I don’t know what he hit, but that semi 4 vehicles back hit that truck so hard it buckled the box into the cab and the semi had his bumper into his grille.

Couldn’t wait to get back to the mountains and head home.

Welcome back to a Smokey Lake, but no traffic at least. The truck ran like a dream, I got 19.2 mpg on the way to the coast and average 18.3 over all the round trip, it’s more up hill on the way back. Haven’t been driving her a lot lately, but man I love this truck!
