I bit the bullet and traded in my early built special ordered '17 Raptor with 3800 miles built (11/17/16) for a newer built '17 Raptor (2/12/17) today and I can honestly say the truck feels much more refined than my first one. My new one had 21 miles on the clock (compared to 81 test miles on my previous one), ZERO rust on the under carriage, shifting feels much better than my previous one, almost like Ford has stepped up its QC and has actually put some real effort into manufacturing/refining this truck. Overall I'm very happy with my new one, no complaints with 120 miles on the clock.

Glad to hear your new one is better. Did your dealer take care of you because of issues? Or did you have to take a huge hit on trading up to the newer one?

It was a decent hit because I paid $5K over MSRP on the first one, BUT out of the kindness of their hearts and my continued issues with the truck, they only made me pay MSRP on the new one. Overall $9k hit including the ADM.

Wow. Very sorry to hear about your issues and your significant monetary loss. This is precisely why we have all been advising people to wait it out until Ford gets the new model sorted out. Obviously, the decades old rule of thumb of never buying a first model year continue to apply!

3,800 miles is the usual frequency with which I trade/sell a lot of my vehicles off. Feel like after all the time I've waited for this Raptor, I too should be on my 2nd 2017. Glad you got a good one this time :) . Enjoy!

Wait, you ordered your first 7 months ago and haven't received it?
