I'm on mid perch right now. I tow a trailer full of quads and gear the goes almost 5k. When the trailer is hooked up I have a small amount or rear sag. Nothing to bad. No handling problems at all. I have also considered adding another leaf but will probably just end up with some Deavers. How much weight are you towing?

My max load is about 5k too

My drive to the Oregon dunes is a minimum of six hours. Mostly freeway driving with the last hour and a half being twisty coastal mountain roads. I've had the 5k trailer, quad in the bed of the Raptor and firewood with four adults inside and still felt very comfortable.

I put off doing the mid perch just for this reason until recently I finally did the mod and I ( like others ) cant believe I waited so long to do it.I really like the stance and handling etc. now.I dont tow every week but when I do I have bought a weight distribution hitch to haul dirt on my flatbed trailer or other heavy items.

2013 SCab towing

I couldn't be happier with how the Raptor performed.

Towed roughly 275 miles this past weekend for Carlisle. The Stang & trailer were right around 5,800lbs (10,000lb WD hitch was used), we had a few hundred pounds of crap in the bed, the AC was going the whole time, it was pouring on the way there, our speed ranged from 50mph to 80mph with some decent hills along the way, and she handled it all like a champ. There was more then enough power on tap, so much so that rarely did she have to shift down to 5th, avg 11.2 mpg on 93oct, and towed better then any truck I've had so far!

Pics just before loading the Stang up for Carlisle.

Towing with a 2013

Last month I went to Tulsa and towed my Shelby in a 24' enclosed trailer. The truck handled great with plenty of power. On the way there, I was gettinng 7.6 miles per gallon. There was a lot of head wind that day all the way there. Coming back, it got 9.3 miles per gallon. Must of had some tail wind. I only had 1400 miles on the truck at that time. I hope it gets a little better than that after it gets broke in a little.
